Works with the Scenic Designer to produce the video elements needed for each show. May range from PowerPoint, to static image, to created video. Will be responsible for setting up needed playback equipment. This position is part of the run crew, changeover crew, maintenance crew and strike crew. This position will report to the Production Manager.
Job Requirements
-Must be able to work comfortably on an 8’ Stepladder
-Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
-Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with digital editing
-Must have a minimum of 2 years running live video (Monitors, Projectors, Mixing, etc)
-Must have a solid knowledge of PC’s running Windows XP Professional and peer to peer networking of two computers
-CATF uses Sony Vegas 7.0. If Engineer uses Avid, Final Cut, or similar, employee must be able to provide a personal computer with non-pirated version of program of choice. This computer must have ability to produce standard format DVD’s for playback.
CATF uses Window’s XP Pro or Vista Pro PC’s. Employees of CATF are expected to be competent in the use of standard Microsoft programs (Windows, Excel, Word, Explorer, Media Player) Specific Departments will require skills in different programs. CATF does not offer support of Macintosh Computers or systems or Linux based PC’s. Employees using these computers are welcome to bring their own, but there will be no on site tech support for them, and all company work done on them must be able to interface with company PC’s.
