Submissions not meeting all requirements listed below will be deleted without consideration.
Subject line must list department and job title applied for only.
Example- Subject: Costumes, First Hand
Body of email should include: name, current checked email address, and phone number as the first line. Cover letters are encouraged to provide background of applicants and resume can be part of letter body or attached.
If sent as an attachment, resume needs to be in MS Word, PDF, Notebook, or image format.
References and contact information must be included. (“Upon Request” should not be used.)
You will be contacted by CATF only if we have questions about your application or need to interview you further. All positions are selected and hired by May 1st. CATF’s yearly staff is small and crew heads make individual hiring recommendations, therefore, do not contact CATF offices by phone or email to check on progress.
Besides the specific items listed by each position, staff members will receive free housing located within walking distance of all theaters and shop spaces. Housing comes with free laundry, free basic cable, and free wired internet. Most contracts run from June 2 to August 3, but specific details will be discussed in the interview. Sound and some Electrics positions run from June 20 to August 3. Shepherdstown, our home, is a very small town and all points in town can be walked to in under 15 minutes. While a car is not needed, it is convenient and free parking at both housing and work is provided. We provide free weekly transportation to larger grocery stores through Company Management. There is no need to leave Shepherdstown for most needs. A health food store, standard grocery store, pharmacy, numerous restaurants, a general store, video store, and a host of small businesses are all located in town.
